Adding Group Links to Content Areas

  1. Make sure that Edit Mode is ON, and click an existing Content Area (Course Information, Assignments, a specific unit, learning module, or other container) from the Course Menu on the left.
  2. Mouse over Tools on the action bar and select Groups.

  1. On the Create Link: Group page, you will be able to select one of the following options:
    1. Link to the Groups Page - This will bring users to a page where ALL groups are listed.
    2. Link to a Group or Group Set - If you have multiple groups or group sets created, you can select this option to link to  a single group or specific group set.
      1. Select an existing group or group set from the list OR
      2. Create a new group by selecting the type of group from the Create New Group or Group Set dropdown list
  2. Click Next.

  1. A second Create Link: Group page will appear; in section 1, enter the Link Name as you would like to display in the Content Area. You may enter a description, instructions, or other text in the Text area provided (optional).  If populated, this information will display under the Link Name in the Content Area.
  2. In section 2, you can select the availability, tracking, and date restrictions for the link (optional).
  3. Click Submit when finished.
